About Erica

owner / founder

While operating as a freelance designer and photographer since 2003, Erica routinely sought the collaboration of writers, programmers, and other creative professionals to service the totality of her clients’ needs. Having established effective relationships with a network of top talent,
she saw the opportunity to develop an organization that offers clients all the benefits of a full-service agency with a hands-on, personalized edge – and thus, the Summer House was built. Born and raised on the shoreline of Connecticut, Erica attended the School of Fine Arts at UCONN, earning her BFA in Design. With more than 15 years of awards to her name, eight gallery installations, dozens of publications and several semesters as an adjunct college professor {design + photography}, she brings an eclectic breadth of experience to every project. Erica currently resides in the foothills of the NC Blue Ridge Mountains with her husband, Bryan, two dogs, a herd full of horses and donkeys, and several million honeybees.
